Romsey Town vs. Balsham I

Emmanuel College

Balsham I (231/8; 40 overs)
Romsey Town (91 all out; 35 overs)
by 140 runs.

If people bothered to bet on our matches, Balsham would have been unbookable favourites -- league leaders, they'd beaten us by 90-odd runs earlier in the season, and we were in the middle of a horror run.

Balsham batted first, and certainly posted a decent total (231/8), but the star was Phil Bradford, whose 6/41 included a hat-trick. Man of the match, surely, but scant compensation for . . .

. . . being part of a rout that saw us all out for 91, defeated by a mammoth 140 runs.
