Romsey Town finished its season with a trip north to Clumber Park, near Worksop, where we took on Worksop Rugby Club, also known as the Roundheads. The match was decidedly one-sided, with Romsey scoring heavily and then bowling very well, although in reality it was close to a two-man show, as recorded in the 1990 team summary written at the time:
Speical mention must be made of the 3rd wicket partnership between Agha Khan (133) and Rog Shelley (52), which dominated a match in which three Romsey Town records were set. Rog joined Khan when the score was 11/2; when Khan was out exactly two hours later the score was an incredible 194. Their partnership of 183 was a club record and Khan's score of 133 was the highest ever made for Romsey. The final score of 249/7 was also the highest team score the club has ever made. Khan's 133 was scored in 128 minutes (and he made his 100 in 100 minutes) and included 19 fours and 2 sixes. Roger's 52 was also scored in 128 minutes (reaching his 50 in 118 minutes), and included 4 fours.
